Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country over the last weekend of September each year.
The crown jewel of Culture Days in Dauphin is Dauphin’s Yardfringe! Join us as we travel around Dauphin by bicycle & celebrate culture in our community! Maybe you will be part of a collaborative art project, watch a short play, listen to a musical performance or sing-along, or try your hand at reader’s theatre. You will only find out by coming along for the ride! Meet your Fringemaster at the WAC. This event is perfect for anyone, any age! During the month of September, watch for details on the official Yardfringe route and get prepared for an evening of sheer joy! This year Fringers are encouraged to decorate their bikes and themselves in a creative way. Remember to dress for the weather, bring hydration, and follow the rules of the road!
