As special as its name suggests, Hidden Valley Sanctuary offers hiking, fishing, snowshoeing and a picnic area to provide an excellent opportunity for viewing and listening to the sounds of wildlife. Gordon Mitchell was once a trapper, an avid naturalist and photographer. He donated the site to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation to share with Dauphin.
The Dauphin Fish and Wildlife Association maintains this location.
You can hike down the hill along the trails towards the picnic site or proceed along the edge of the field until you reach a big hillside clearing , You can go down the hill and proceed north along the trail until you reach the picnic table and riverside location. Please take as many pictures and make special memories but leave nothing behind but your foot prints . Please leave this special place as clean and undisturbed as you can!
How Do I Get There?
Proceed north on Highway #20 approximately 13 Kilometers to Rural Road Sign #154. Head west along the tree line to the riverbank and gate, and then head south along the trail to the Hidden Valley sign.
