Agritourism

Nothing beats berries from the vine or honey fresh from the hive, and it tastes that much better when you’ve made a little extra effort to get to them!  Enjoy a visit to our numerous u-picks and apiaries.  Be sure to call ahead to check on availability and picking schedules.

At the Farm Gate: Locavores? 100-Mile Diet? These are more than just fads…it’s our way of life in Dauphin!  Now, thanks to the Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve, everyone will be able to find locally produced, fresh products that our small family farms around Riding Mountain are producing.  At the Farm Gateshows you where these products are available: fresh eggs, grass-fed or free-range beef, pork and chicken, jams, jellies, fruits and vegetables, baking, and more.  Not to mention the health and eco-benefits of purchasing your food this way…it will taste better than anything you find at the store!

Open Farm Day:  Manitoba’s first-ever Open Farm Day was held on September 19, 2010 and was a huge success!  Participating farm families open their gates and invite visitors to discover what farm life is all about.  Click here to learn more agritourism events and initiatives!
