Watersports: Watersport enthusiasts will find no shortage of H2O in which to get their hulls wet! Lake Dauphin’s large body of water with wide open spaces is a great place for kite or windsurfing, waterskiing or wakeboarding. And don’t forget the tubers! On a hot summer day the lake will be alive with the sound of happy screams!
Canoeing & Kayaking: Get up and close and personal with wildlife and nature from a kayak, while enjoying some of our clear, blue lakes and rivers. Gliding across a mirror-like surface of water at dusk or dawn is a truly magical Canadian encounter that must be experienced first-hand to understand. Lake Dauphin, the Vermillion Reservoir, or the countless pristine lakes in either Riding Mountain National Park or Duck Mountain Provincial Park are waiting to be discovered.
Dauphin also welcomes the Parkland Paddling Club and one of Canada’s senior nationally certified Kayak instructors, Mick Lautt. Consult their website to contact Mick for information and join their forum – a great resource for information about gear, locations, events, conditions, and water levels when planning a trip to the area.
